If you are not tech savvy then learning electronics seems like a mountain to climb. Yet it is not as difficult as it may look. All you need is the right books to get you started on this fabulous journey.

  1. The make electronics by charles platt is a great book especially for beginners “IF” you’re from U.S. Outside the U.S it’s hard to follow because you have to buy every piece of electronic parts. There’s no seller of make electronics parts in my country sadly and by buying them individually, I have to order from different store which makes the shipping costs add up.

  2. I have the same books + two extra: the art of Electronics” and “Electronic Circuits” by Mike Tooley. The last one seems to hit the balance of theory so that you are not flying totally blind. Practical Electronics for inventors is super awesome but its quite deep and its takes a lot of time to condense the information and feel that you are “getting it”. Definitely not for somebody who wants to pick up basics quickly or gets restless when the progress seems slow.
